Throughout these areas, rural residents illegally set their fields on fire to prepare for next season, producing dangerous haze that becomes contained over the capital as winter air arrives.

Both financial and medical consequences on the roughly thirty-three million inhabitants residing in the metropolitan zone is substantial, according to various research.

These hazardous conditions leads to elevated rates of neurological, heart and circulatory and lung diseases, and can even lead to oncological diseases.

Environmental contamination is projected to be accounting for 10,000 untimely fatalities annually in the capital.
